The Port Authority offers a robust summer internship program as well as internships throughout the academic year. These internships offer graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to work with knowledgeable and experienced experts in hands-on work assignments related to the student's major.

The Port Authority offers many internship opportunities during summer and throughout the academic year. Our internships provide graduate and undergraduate students the opportunity to work with knowledgeable and experienced professionals on assignments related to the student’s major. These assignments will include hands-on projects to cultivate technical, writing, communication and team-building skills.

In addition to challenging, meaningful work assignments interns routinely enjoy networking sessions and tours of our various facilities during their internship experience. Interns are also provided with guidance on career opportunities to make the most of their Port Authority experience.

What are we looking for?

We are seeking candidates who are talented and driven, and who have a genuine interest in contributing to the success of the New York/New Jersey region. We welcome applications from current graduate and undergraduate students from a variety of majors.

How do I apply?

All of our open internship positions are listed below. Students are encouraged to apply to all opportunities that are of interest to them. To be considered for the program, applicants must attach a resume and brief statement of interest as described in the job posting.

Each internship opportunity is independent of one another, so students may be contacted by multiple departments or offices. Interns are selected based on academic achievement, analytical and communication skills, and work experience.
