Responsibilities

The Port Authority offers paid summer internships to students that provide the opportunity to work with knowledgeable and experienced professionals on assignments critical to operating, maintaining, and expanding the transportation infrastructure for one of the greatest economies in the world.

Assignments include hands-on projects to cultivate technical, writing, communication and team-building skills. The diversity of our businesses creates a variety of opportunities for students to gain exposure to the work of a first-class public agency

The PATH Department is looking for a summer intern to join their team in the Contract Services unit! Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Receive and review PATH Document boxes
  • Input, or update, box records into the PA’s HPRM
  • Re-box and labeling for HPRM tracking
  • Organize new filing location at McMillan Bloedel and clean up files at JSTC 10th Floor
  • Potential for special projects as assigned by Manager

About the PATH Contract Services Division:

The Contract Services Division is responsible for awarding the majority of PATH Contracts, PATH Records Management and working with Client Departments to meet the PA’s Diversity, Equity and Inclusion Program.

Qualifications

  • Students must be enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate program for the upcoming Fall 2022 school semester.
  • We are seeking interns who are talented, driven and who have a genuine interest in contributing to the success of the New York/New Jersey region.
  • We welcome applications from a diverse range of University disciplines and concentrations.
  • Successful candidates will be self-starters with excellent communication, research and applicable technical skills.

  • Ability to follow specific directions
  • Work independently

This will be full-time (5 days/week), in-person internship last until the end of August with the possibility of extending.

Recruitment Timeline:
