Data Performance Analyst

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Manager of Toll Collection Systems in  the Tunnels, Bridges & Terminals Department Tolls Revenue Operations & Systems Division,  the successful candidate will be developing and utilizing business analytics, Dashboards, and business intelligence tools to support actionable findings to protect the agency’s toll revenue stream which is the largest single source of revenue in the agency. The selected candidate will be part of a growing team as the agency is replacing a legacy toll system and moving to All Cashless Tolling.

Responsibilities

The position is responsible for the following activities:

  • Compile, validate, manage and analyze data that will be used to build various reports for the Tolling Group, Senior and Executive Management.
  • Create and maintain a library of documentation on query and report designs.
  • Compile data from various systems and perform quantitative and qualitative data analysis for internal and external requests.
  • Present data findings in a clear manner so Management understands and can determine a course of action.

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • Must possess a bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics or a related field.
  • Expert knowledge of SQL, including SQL tuning and advanced SQL queries using Oracle.
  • Familiarity with multiple database and reporting technologies is required. 
  • Experience in Business Intelligence (BI). 
  • Experience creating Dashboards using various BI tools.

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Knowledge of Tableau.
  • Experience in Data warehousing.
  • Knowledge of SAS.
  • Experience in ETL.
  • Knowledge of toll collection and/or back office operations.
  • Experience in Object Oriented Programming.
  • Experience with Excel Macros.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills. 
  • Able to work well in a team environment, handle multiple assignments and meet deadlines.
