The Real Estate Department is looking for a Manager, Acquisition to join their team. By executing on significant real estate transactions and projects, the Manager will directly contribute to the Port Authority of New York and New Jersey’s mission to keep the region moving.
In this role, you would be responsible for property acquisition associated with capital and operations programs advanced by the Port Authority, including:
You would also be responsible for overall management of owner / tenant relocation activities associated with acquisition projects including the oversight of relocation consultant activities.
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Examples of potential projects the Manager, Acquisitions will contribute to range from the Gateway tunnel project, which is the renovation and expansion of the northeast corridor rail line between New Jersey and New York, to major PA capital projects, such as the PATH extension to Newark airport. Acquisitions play a central role in many PA construction projects and, as such, there is strong demand internally for this person’s contributions and leadership.
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited college or university in Business Administration, Finance, Real Estate or other related field. Appraiser certification (MAI) or graduate degree is plus.
Minimum of 3-5 years of real estate experience, including demonstrated proficiency in commercial real estate acquisitions and valuation.
