Assistant Director, Operations Services, Policy & Business Programs

Functional Oversight of the Position:

Direct and manage the Tunnels,Bridges & Terminals (TB&T) Operations Services, Customer Relations, and Planning & Program Management functions in order to ensure the achievement of departmental goals and objectives related to levels of service, safety, quality, and state of good repair, consistent with financial objectives.  Provide policy, management, and administrative direction and oversight to a wide variety of staff programs and functions to strengthen the quality of operations and maintenance decision-making and to advance sound program plans.  Develop and maintain external relationships with the private sector, labor representatives, and other regional agencies to ensure the effectiveness of operating practices, sound business and financial agreements, and cohesive regional transportation systems.  Provide a focus on technology, innovation, best-practices, customer experience, productivity, business agreements, staff development, and planning.

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

Bachelor's Degree in Business, Emergency Management, Engineering, Transportation, Technology, Communications, Operations Management or related field from an accredited college or university.

Minimum of ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in implementing programs, developing policies and procedures, budget and/or financial analysis, union contacts, security programs and systems.

Must possess a valid Driver's License
