Responsibilities

Our Office of Medical Services has an opening for a Senior Nurse. This is a long term project position through the end of 2021 with benefits located at our office in Lower Manhattan.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform nursing assessments in connection with annual medical screenings, pre-employment physicals, promotional physicals, OSHA and federally required examinations.
  • Perform nursing evaluations for job fitness for duty, injury on duty, and return to duty evaluations.
  • Assist physicians in emergency response for injury on duty.
  • Administer vaccinations and perform health screenings such as blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar in connection with Wellness/safety programs.
  • Data entry of all medical histories, testing, screening, and evaluation information.
  • Provide case management for injury on duty. 

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • Bachelor's degree in Nursing from an accredited school, or a nursing diploma/degree from an accredited nursing program is required
  • Candidates must have a valid New York or New Jersey Nursing License

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • 6 months of hospital, occupational nursing or related experience
  • Demonstrated excellent oral and written communication skills
  • Superior interpersonal skills including experience interacting effectively with all levels of staff
  • Demonstrated experience dealing with sensitive and confidential material/information
