About the Internship
The Structures & Facilities Division at PATH is responsible for various infrastructures, including operations and maintenance of buildings and facilities, passenger stations including fare control equipment, HVAC systems throughout the PATH system, tunnel drainage system and airline systems, air compressor plants, PATH mailroom and stockroom operations, and all aspects of sanitation throughout PATH. S&F also manages PATH’s Bridge Management Program and works closely with the Engineering Department on the inspection and repair to maintain the structural integrity of our infrastructure. The selected candidate will be working closely with all staff levels to gain real life experience in communication skills, project delivery, writing and presentation skills, industry best business practices, contract management, and budget management.
Responsibilities
- Update the database for drawings and technical documents
- Conduct monthly analysis on materials and supplies utilization for the Division
- Act as project manager for in-house projects
- Create dashboards and tracking spreadsheets for all life safety systems
- Support the transition into PATH’s new Asset Management System
- Assist in implementing capital improvement projects to enhance existing and new infrastructure, mechanical, and structural systems
Minimum Qualifications
- Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester
- Major in Engineering, Business, Finance, Operations Management, Transportation, Planning or a related discipline
Desired Qualifications
- High level of proficiency in Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
- Proficient in Power BI
Internship Details
- The start date will be Thursday, May 29, 2025
- The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 22, 2025
- This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
- The format is expected to be in-person

Compensation & Benefits
- The hourly rate range is $18.07 to $27.89 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
