About the Role |
Join one of the most diverse and innovative Engineering/Architecture design teams with multiple specialties within the transportation sector. The Port Authority’s airports, ports, ferries, tunnels, bridges, bus terminals and rail transportation systems are important transportation links in the region. The Architecture Design unit within the Engineering/Architecture Design Division serves a unique role within the Port Authority by providing architectural planning and design services throughout the Agency with close coordination with internal and external stakeholders including Federal, State and local transportation and regulatory agencies. The architects at the Port Authority are a close-knit team that are stewards of the infrastructure owned and managed by the Agency. They keep the region moving by focusing on our priorities such as Customer Experience, Operational Excellence, Sustainability and standards such as Global Best Practices, Collaboration and Speed
Reporting to a Principal Architect, the Senior Architect will be responsible for producing architectural design for capital, operating and major redevelopment programs. Work can vary from a state of good repair project for a single building element to a brand-new transit hub at any of the Authority’s facilities. |
