About the Internship

 

The Aviation Department is looking for a summer intern to assist with the JFK Redevelopment Program on the Community & Compliance Support team. Key areas of interest are in community relations, contract and labor, Minority and Women-owned Business Enterprise (MWBE) compliance, capacity building, and participation in major regional infrastructure programs.

 

Responsibilities

  • Work with stakeholders including Government & Community Relations and Diversity, Equity & Inclusion in reviewing documentation, preparing summary reports, coordinating with external parties, and attending virtual stakeholder meetings
  • Attend Terminal Developer and Community Outreach events.  
  • Help design various program that align with education; career and workforce development; and environmental sustainability.

 

Minimum Qualifications

  • Enrollment at a college/university through Summer 2025 and into the Fall 2025 semester

 

Desired Qualifications

  • Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, and PowerPoint)
  • Good written and communication skills

 

Internship Details

  • The start date will be Thursday, May 29, 2025
  • The internship will last approximately 12 weeks, ending on Friday, August 22, 2025
  • This is a full-time internship (5 days per week at 7.25 hours per day)
  • The format is expected to be hybrid

Compensation & Benefits

  • The hourly rate range is $17.63 to $29.57 (the exact rate will be determined by internship type and rising school year)
