About the Role

Reporting to the Senior Program Manager in the Technical & Maintenance Services unit, the selected candidate will be responsible for a broad range of technical services in support of the Department’s core business areas including Maintenance Management, Asset Management, Permit Agreements, Tenant Alteration Applications, Development Project Support, and Information Technology.

 

 

Responsibilities

The selected candidate will develop, implement, and maintain content used for supporting comprehensive programs for the operation, maintenance, and management of critical facility assets throughout their lifecycle. Facility assets are currently maintained and managed using the agency’s enterprise Maximo solution, which is in the process of being enhanced and upgraded to a more recent version of the same platform. The selected candidate will provide support to the department’s facilities, assisting with the upkeep of Maximo data records and reporting, which includes the development and analysis of preventative maintenance routines, asset inventory updates, maintenance reporting and work order analysis. 

 

As the department transitions into the updated version of enterprise Maximo, the selected candidate will provide critical technical support both during and following the implementation. Additionally, the selected candidate will provide various support to the other groups within the Technical Services Unit including Structural Integrity, Tenant Alteration Applications, Permit/Right-of-Entry Agreements, and Development Project Support.

 

Specific responsibilities include:

 

  • Manage TB&T permit and license agreements with outside entities; coordination with internal and external staff including Law, Engineering, Real Estate, and outside entities.
  • Manage Development Project support providing technical, security, and operational review coordination, reference documentation and coordination with external stakeholders.
  • Provide support for Information Technology Infrastructure including asset management, assessing Departmental needs and planning, and coordination with the facilities and TEC Department.
  • Provide ongoing maintenance reporting on a monthly and quarterly basis – Executive, COO and Director reports.
  • Develop, optimize, and review preventative maintenance routines in coordination with facility needs, industry best practices and necessary code related inspections.
  • Extract and analyze maintenance data from Maximo for various facility and line department needs.
  • Provide occasional onsite facility support through field visits and Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) equipment condition surveys and investigations.
  • Coordinate and provide necessary data in support of Maximo implementation tasks.  This includes extracting, formatting, and transforming data for introduction and use by the enterprise Maximo platform, along with the review of preventative maintenance routines and organization of asset data into hierarchical structures aligned with Agency standards and definitions.

Minimum Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field from an accredited college or university.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to travel to and work at the different TB&T facilities on as needed basis.

Desired Qualifications

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Demonstrated experience managing aspects of projects involving the construction, building, or maintenance trades, for a minimum of five (5) years.
  • Experience with computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) programs, e.g. Maximo, Infor, Trapeze, SAP, other, for a minimum of five (5) years.
  • Demonstrated experience applying performance measurement and management principles, methodologies and technologies.
  • Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and demonstrated experience in data manipulation using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive with staff at all levels.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make concise presentations to a variety of audiences.
  • Professional Engineer’s License.
