About the Role |
Join one of the most diverse and innovative engineering design teams with multiple specialties within the transportation sector. The Port Authority’s airports, ports, ferries, tunnels, bridges, bus terminals and rail transportation systems are important transportation links in the region. Reporting to the Principal Engineer for Port Structures and working closely with the Chief Structural Engineer, the successful candidate will provide structural engineering design services for the Authority’s Port Facilities, (including Port Elizabeth, Port Newark, Port Jersey, Brooklyn Marine Terminal, New York New Jersey Rail, and Battery Park City Ferry Terminal). For all phases of a project, from conceptual design, through construction. The Port Authority is in the early phase of planning of a multi-billion-dollar major rehabilitation of their Port structures. This position plays a critical role in in-house design, as well as in review of consultant prepared work.
