RESPONSIBILITIES:
Under the direction of the Senior Program Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for assisting in the development, coordination and delivery of a portion of the overall Newark Liberty International and Teterboro Airports’ Capital Plan and Operating Major Works portfolio with a focus on landside and terminal projects.
The day to day responsibilities include, but are not limited to: supervising the daily activities of Senior Project Managers and Project Managers in the initiation, planning, executing, monitoring and close out for assigned projects; identifying offsets to allow additional projects to be entered into the plan, ensuring compliance with the developed contract award plan; reviewing project scope to ensure desired outcome; ensuring projects are managed on schedule and on budget, reviewing and determining project risks, developing schedule recovery plans; ensuring key stakeholder involvement in the life cycle of the projects; will be responsible for coordinating with Engineering Design, Program Management and Construction Management for quality/timeliness/cost efficiency of work delivered; oversight and review of outside Agency involvement and the executing of required agreements. In addition, the successful candidate will review and participate in the preparation of Capital Plan Oversight Committee (CPOC), Gate Review documents, Contract Authorizations, Board Items and presentations and identify appropriate schedules to advance projects to the Board for authorization.
