The Aviation Department is looking for an intern to join their LaGuardia Airport Operations team!
About the Aviation Department & LaGuardia Airport Operations:
The Aviation Department manages the five airports in the Port Authority system, which is the largest airport system in the US. Within the Aviation Department, the Airport Operations unit is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day safe operation of the airport under Part 139 and FAA Advisory Circulars 150 series including: Self-Inspection programs; Wildlife Hazard Management; Airfield Driver Training program; Snow and Ice Control; Airport Emergency Plan; Quarterly Inspections of fueling facilities and fueling equipment; Airfield safety areas; airport markings and signage; Aircraft rescue and firefighting (ARFF); Airport conditioning reporting; Airport Construction Safety & Phasing Plans; and maintaining the Airport Certification Manual.
