The selected candidate, working under the direction of senior auditors, will be responsible for the following tasks:
Participate in the planning of audits and conduct reviews of various Port Authority functions, operations and business processes, including reviews of private sector partners doing business with the Port Authority.
Develop the audit scope and audit program.
Executing the audit work, including the gathering and analysis of required data and information.
Prepare work papers and include in Teammate+ automated workpaper application.
Draft audit report summarizing the results of the audit and recommendations for improvement.
Communicate audit results to auditee and/or PA management.
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, Finance or related area.
One to four years’ experience in the auditing field is preferred; will also consider 0-2 years of college campus jobs, internships, or general work experience, in-lieu-of auditing experience.
Demonstrated proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite applications, most importantly Excel.

Ability to interact effectively with internal staff and external professionals at all levels.
Must be able to travel to other Port Authority facilities as well as PA auditee locations/offices as needed.
