Responsibilities:
Reporting to the Chief Quality Assurance, Quality Assurance Division and under the direct supervision of the Unit Manager, Construction Standards and Inspection Unit, the successful candidate will perform audits/inspections for Port Authority contracts and tenant construction projects; conduct audits/inspections during scheduled acceptance inspections and major tests to recommend the issuance of a Permit to Occupy or Use and Certificate of Completion for Chief Engineer’s signature; prepare Inspection Reports in a timely manner to identify non-conforming items and follows up for final disposition; audit field records, including Special Inspection Reports for Port Authority contracts. The selected candidate will be responsible for close-out process leading to the issuance of time sensitive documents.
