Description

Responsibilities:

 Under the supervision of the Manager of Telecommunication Operations, the successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • Maintain, monitor, and administer agency Cisco IP telecommunication infrastructure.
  • Report of overall system metrics on a weekly basis and describe any trends that may negatively impact system performance.
  • Maintain inventory of Cisco endpoints 
  • Configure Cisco Unified Communications Manager platform.
  • Modify and create Cisco IP phone endpoints and Webex Boards
  • Understanding of underlying network supporting the agency phone system
  • Configure Cisco Unity Connection voicemail system and Unified Call Center Express
  • Modify and create Cisco Unity voicemail profiles.
  • Working knowledge of Cisco Webex and associated applications
  • Create and analyze user accounts.
  • Measure system usage and monitoring tools
  • Document system processes and procedures
  • Develop a run-book manual that can be handed off to new or replacement employees.
  • Train end users on IP phones, voicemail, and WebEx
  • Work with agency Help Desk
  • Document actions to resolve end user issues.
  • Exercise diligence in responding to/resolving incoming trouble tickets and communicate when problems are resolved.
  • Communicate with end users in resolving simple and complex problems.

 

Qualifications:

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • 3 years of knowledge and hands on experience in the Network or Telecommunications field
  • 3 years of knowledge and hands on experience working with Cisco IP telephony systems

Desired:

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Strong written and verbal skills
  • Ability to trouble shoot IP telephony and associated network issues.
  • Understanding of contemporary network concepts and supporting Cisco hardware, such as switches and routers
