Description
Responsibilities
Major Capital Projects has overall responsibility for the design and construction delivery of the reconstructed Port Authority Bus Terminal (PABT), World Trade Center (WTC) site, the Cross Harbor Freight Program (CHFP), construction management of the core and shell of the new Hudson Tunnels for the Gateway Development Commission and management of World Trade Center Department contracts and other projects assigned to it.
Reporting to the Director, Technical Operations, Major Capital Projects (MCP), this position is a vital member of the department serving as a key business partner assisting in the creation of digital applications relating to all stages of design from initial planning (stage 1) through construction through closeout (stage 5). The selected candidate will be responsible for the development of various digital aspects of the project life cycle including initiating, planning, executing, monitoring/controlling, and closing for each assigned project within a digital application.
- Analyzed system processes and provided appropriate designs and recommended improvements if required.
- Developed an efficient digital architecture for architectural, engineering construction app implementation/solutions.
- Provided technical support for project lifecycle.
- Coordinate with project team and developed and implement efficient digital solutions.
- Provide technical support to the project team across internal project sites.
- Develop virtual training platforms.
- Coordinated with project manager site owners and provided appropriate updates.
- Analyze all technical issues and provide integrated solutions.
- Design programs/apps on approved technology platform and design required solution for construction and project management workflows.
- Coordinated with stakeholders and prepared all business documents.
- Ensured optimal standards of all developed processes and performed regular tests on same.
- Digital interface of applications with construction management programs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or associates degree in business applications, or related discipline from an accredited college or university
- A minimum of seven years of progressive experience in design of construction and project management applications.
- Demonstrated experience working with architectural, engineering and construction disciplines encompassing digital workflow solution.
- Demonstrated experience as lead in the development of architectural, engineering and construction management solutions (over 100 users).
- Ability to write custom code using JavaScript, ACML, HTML to create web parts for use in SharePoint.
- Ability to develop Infowise forms and deploy on Sharepoint.
- Create automated workflows to automate various business processes.
- Configure permissions and create user groups in Active Directory to control access to different areas of the digital environment.
- Demonstrated knowledge of technologies.
Desired
- A minimum of ten years of progressive experience in design of construction and project management applications.
- A minimum of five years of direct or indirect supervisory experience.
- Proficiency with all Microsoft Office products, Adobe Applications, SharePoint, Power Bi, Premier Pro, E-Builder, Procure, CMIC, Oracle, Vista Viewpoint, Video & Audio Engineering/Animation, Artificial Intelligence.
