Responsibilities
Reporting to the Resident Engineer or an Assistant Resident Engineer as a Construction Inspector while being responsible for the field inspection of various civil and structural elements for verification of compliance with contract documents and the coordination of such work with associated facility staff and other stakeholders in a manner as to mitigate impacts to ongoing facility operations while advancing work as efficiently as possible. Identification of extra work and preparation of associated estimates, writing daily narratives for the purpose of tracking all Contract work and Extra work via various administrative mechanisms as well as any ongoing issues or points of interest deemed relevant by management, assistance in reviews of monthly Contractor invoices and attending construction progress meetings as needed to provide status updates.
