The Major Capital Projects (MCP) department is looking for an intern to join their team in the World Trade Center Construction unit as part of their Veteran Internship Program! Veterans who are currently enrolled in a program of study are strongly encouraged to apply to this internship. This opportunity will last up to one year so candidates should have plans to be enrolled in a program of study until December 2023 or beyond.
During this program, participants will have the opportunity to rotate throughout various assignments within the MCP department. These assignments offer on the job experience and education in architecture, engineering, and construction to gain exposure to the work of a first-class public agency, such as:
In addition to the rotational assignments, participants will have the opportunity participate in trainings, facility tours, and exercises scheduled throughout the year. There will also be an opportunity to network throughout the organization to obtain a working knowledge of the Port Authority and awareness of potential full-time opportunities.

The Major Capital Projects Department’s mission is to deliver the Port Authority’s mega-projects including the World Trade Center Construction highest quality and most efficient transportation services so important to the well-being and economic competitiveness of the region.
