Employee Business Resource Groups
The Workforce Diversity, Equity & Inclusion team supports and elevates ten Employee Business Resource Groups (EBRGs). These groups are voluntary, employee-organized, agency supported groups that provide a forum for employees to come together for networking, support and professional development and to promote cultural and civic awareness and allyship. EBRGs assist the agency with core business objectives such as recruitment and retention of employees, marketing and advertising, and establishing nurturing community relationships.
To further the impact of the EBRGs, each group is given an Executive Sponsor. The Executive Sponsor is a senior leader within the organization that serves to guide and empower each group, while advocating for them throughout the agency.

Operations & Maintenance
Ever wonder how JFK Airport remains open during a snow storm? Or who responds to a car crash inside the Holland Tunnel and clears the traffic? Or how the submerged PATH Hoboken station reopened after Hurricane Sandy?
These are just some examples of the critical work of the Port Authority’s Operations and Maintenance workforce. They work together to deliver top tier customer service, emergency response and skilled trade maintenance to keep our region moving safe and sound.
Operations and Maintenance employees work varying schedules to keep our facilities running, 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, 365 days a year. They work at our facilities, indoors and outdoors, and are always ready to respond to emergencies and during inclement weather.
