Location: Port Authority Technical Cntr
Under the direction of the General Manager, Emergency Management, the successful candidate will have a variety of responsibilities in support of emergency management programs and projects. This will generally include: coordinating, and implementing emergency planning, training, exercising and evaluatiing activities. Specific activities may/will change based on the operational needs of the office as determined by the Director. Specific assignments will include: research and development of reports, information papers and briefing various OEM Programs and Projects. Analyzing data from real world incident response; exercises, work groups and other assessment tools to design, develop and deliver outreach activities and training opportunities that engage internal and external stakeholders. Works to build, sustain and advance a culture of continuous education and improvement.
All OEM personnel have additional responsibilities in support of real emergencies or disasters that impact the Port Authority and/or Port Region. This can include service as part of a rotation of Duty Officers that respond to emergency incidents at facilites. This may also include participating in an assigned role as part of the Agency’s Emergency Operations Center (EOC). Please note: This may include holidays, nights and weekends. Additional duties and responsibilities will be assigned by the OEM Director and/or General Manager as necessary. Possess excellent interpersonal including team building and communications skills.
