Responsibilities

As you know, marketing in the digital ecosystem requires an endless stream of content. Help us prepare assets for publication on social media, web, and email marketing, including video. Be a part of our continuing the evolution of our websites and Mobile Applications. 

Responsibilities

The Digital Product Designer will be responsible for developing and executing creative visual concepts for the Authority’s online communications, and Mobile portals. This position will be responsible for managing and updating content in our mobile portals.

Under the direction of the Manager, Digital Customer Service/Web Service the selected candidate will:

  • Participate in strategy and brainstorming sessions with clients, to provide creative input, help articulate their vision, and define goals
  • Partner with a front-end developer to bring your designs to life. You’ll work directly with a front-end developer to convert your designs into HTML, CSS, and Java script.
  • Design compelling web, app, and email experiences. You’ll partner with our department managers to select a direction from the prototypes you create and then turn you’ll turn it into a high-fidelity design that you can hand off to the developer.
  • Design beautiful user interfaces, with a focus on native mobile
  • Prototype designs using wireframes & low fidelity mockups.  You will produce designs that addresses the project goals while staying within the requirements
  • Maintain brand consistency across all the Agency’s portals (apps, websites, emails), and adhere to corporate design standards.
  • Promote best practices in UI, UX, and interaction design
  • Work in a dynamic, agile team-based environment
  • Contribute wireframes, user flows, interaction prototypes, and other design specification materials
  • Manage the schedule and update changes to “static” copy to ensure consistency with changes to the PA brand

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

·       Candidate must have 5+ years professional experience in front-end-web development, web-based design and publishing, in a design studio or agency environment and possess a Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Master of Sketch and the Creative Suite from an accredited college or university

OR

·       Possess a MFA in graphic design from an accredited college or university and 3 years professional experience

 

·       Proficient in Adobe Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign)

·       Proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud and Sketch

·       Knowledge of HTML, mobile-first design/responsive web design

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Ability to explain and sell design decisions to clients and stakeholders
  • Experience building interactive and /or dynamic applications
  • A track record of consistently great work, and a portfolio to prove it
  • After Effects or motion design experience.
  • Ability to manage multiple projects, meet tight deadlines in a fast-paced environment, and prioritize your time based on team needs.
  • Expertise in mobile responsive design / building responsive email templates
  • Collaboration and communication skills with the management, agile, creative, production and technical team members
  • Ability to design attractive, useable web pages in Illustrator, Sketch, or the program of your choice.
  • Experience wireframing & iterating on designs based on user feedback
  • Experience working with JavaScript, HTML, & CSS.
  • Skills creating look and feel explorations sketches and mood boards, high and low fidelity mockups and design work presentation.
  • Strong technical writing skills.
  • Knowledge of Web/Mobile accessibility standards.
  • Extensive experience within the Agile process.
  • Strong expertise in web application security best practices and application security modules.
  • Experience in source/version control.
  • Continuous integration and deployment using Visual Studio and DevOps (VSTS) pipelines.
  • Experience in client services strongly preferred

Nice to Have

·       Understanding of Azure Service Bus Architecture;

·       Experience Xamarin forms cross-platform development (Android or iOS);

·       Experience with Adobe Experience Manager, or other Content Management Systems.
