Information Security Analyst

Responsibilities

The Port Authority of NY & NJ is seeking an Information Security Analyst. This individual will be responsible for managing and implementing cyber security technologies. The ideal candidate will be passionate about cyber security, detail oriented, possesses a strong technical background and desire to learn. The role will require the candidate to be on call occasionally to respond to security emergencies and work as part of an incident response team.

Responsibilities:

  • Respond to requests from multiple departments, and understand procedures for basic firewall, proxy and O365 blocking requests.
  • Manage endpoint security and detection systems to include identification and remediation of malware.
  • Perform vulnerability scans on customer systems and generate reports.
  • Support Payment Card Industry (PCI) efforts.
  • Support application control efforts.
  • Manage a diverse set of security platforms and generate reports
  • Respond to Security Operations security incidents and take part in remediation and cleanup where necessary
  • Troubleshoot security systems and collaborate with Network Operations to provide recommendations to better support IT infrastructure

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • 1-3 years’ experience in a hands-on information technology role
  • Relevant certification such as Security +, CEH, or equivalent
  • Understanding of cyber security technologies to include firewalls, IDS/IPS, SIEM, access control, encryption, networks, anti-malware, servers, vulnerability management and other security solutions

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Understanding of cyber security technology such as firewalls, Splunk, Web proxy technologies etc.
  • Understanding of DLP technologies
  • Understanding of Asset management for both hardware and software
  • Experience working with internal and external clients
  • Experience working with Cisco security technologies
  • Experience in implementation and management of security tools
