IT Training Administrator

The Technology Department seeks a qualified IT Training Administrator.  Under the direction of the IT Training Coordinator, the candidate will be responsible for:

  • Support all Technology Department Training initiatives
  • Liaise with vendors to obtain training material
  • Participate in creating, implementing and delivering training programs
  • Create class rosters and coordinate scheduling
  • Maintain training records
  • Coordinate all logistics for face-to-face learning
  • Ensure all technology for eLearning is working properly
  • Act as point of contact for participants
  • Order training supplies
  • Resolve any issues that arise on site
  • Submit reports and training activity results
  • Ensure all participants follow established policies
  • Collect and compile participant feedback


Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • AAS in Education, Training or related field or comparable experience
  • Prior experience with adult classroom coordination
  • Microsoft Office 365
  • Comfortable with new technology
  • Advanced organizational skills and ability to handle multiple assignments

Communication:  As the hub of the training lifecycle, it is important to maintain good communication verbally, and in writing.    

Flexibility: You may be asked to work from several facilities within the port district.

Team Player: Become part of a dynamic interactive team focused on providing excellent service to our clients

Problem Solving:  should be a reliable problem solver with project management skills

Attention to Detail:  a combination of strong attention to detail with an ability to multi-task and work under pressure is ideal.


Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Prior experience working in the Public Sector
  • Prior experience as an administrative assistant
  • Prior experience with public sector training initiatives
