System Reliability Engineer

Responsibilities

RESPONSIBILITIES: 
The selected candidate will develop, implement, and maintain comprehensive programs for the operation, maintenance, and management of critical facility assets to maximize reliability throughout their lifecycle. Facility assets are currently maintained and managed using the agency’s Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) which is in the process of being replaced with a new system, Maximo.  The selected candidate will provide facility support with the upkeep of the preventative maintenance program which includes the development and analysis of preventative maintenance routines, asset inventory updates, maintenance reporting and work order analysis.  As the department transitions from MMIS to Maximo, the selected candidate will provide critical technical support both during and following the implementation. 

Specific responsibilities include:

  • Performance Reporting:  Provide ongoing maintenance reporting support as needed for management and the various facilities.
  • Work Order Evaluation:  Review and analyze preventative, corrective, emergency and other maintenance work order data to determine facility issues and staff requirements.
  • Maintenance Program Review:  Develop, optimize and review preventative maintenance routines in coordination with facility needs, industry best practices and necessary code related inspections.
  • Upkeep of Maintenance Management System:  Review and update of asset birth records and retirements and associated preventative maintenance routine.
  • Maintenance Data Analysis:  Analyze maintenance data for facility and line department needs.
  • Facility Support:  Provide onsite facility support through field visits and Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) equipment condition surveys and investigations.
  • Data Integration and Migration:  Review and organize existing maintenance data in support of the Maximo implementation.  This includes configuring equipment data into hierarchical structures for migration into Maximo.
  • Transitional Support:  Support the agency initiative to replace MMIS which includes assuring that governance documents, as set forth by the Chief Operating Office, are adhered to as the department transitions to Maximo.

Qualifications

Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:

  • Must possess a Bachelor’s degree in engineering or related technical field.
  • Must have 3-5 years experience in Mechanical-Electrical-Plumbing (MEP) facility systems design, construction and/or maintenance management of such systems.
  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.
  • Must be willing to travel to and work at the different TB&T facilities on as needed basis.
  • Must pass security background checks as applicable for the department and facility to which the position is assigned.

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Knowledge of maintenance management programs used to increase the dependability of various systems throughout a facility.
  • Demonstrated experience applying performance measurement and management principles and technologies.
  • Proficient in the use of various computer programs such as Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, and demonstrated experience in data manipulation using Microsoft Excel spreadsheets.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive with staff at all levels.
