Location: Port Authority Technical Cntr
Under the supervision and direction of the Senior Program Manager, the Senior Project Manager will provide day-to-day management of multiple assigned projects, including scope, schedule, and cost management from conceptual design through contract preparation and construction completion. The incumbent will manage assigned workload, which shall include scoping of new projects, establishing project baselines, securing necessary authorizations, ensuring that projects are delivered on time and within budget, and completing project status reporting.
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Architecture or related field
Minimum of 5 years of progressively more responsible experience in project and program management
Ideal candidates will present the following profile:
Demonstrated ability to manage challenging and complex projects
Thorough knowledge of the principles, methods, and tools for developing, scheduling, coordinating, and managing projects and resources
Demonstrated ability to manage and supervise others to effectuate program workload
Thorough knowledge of the Port Authority’s Capital Authorization and Contract Authorization processes
Demonstrated customer service, decision-making, problem solving, and interpersonal skills
Proven ability to manage many projects simultaneously and effectively utilize limited available resources
Excellent oral, communication, and presentation skills
Knowledge and experience with facility planning, design and construction
Project Management Professional (PMP) certification
