•The working hours for this position are from 6:30 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
This bulletin will be used to fill ONE permanent position, dependent on current incumbent’s RETIREMENT.The selected candidate will be hired provisionally, until said incumbent retires in June 2018.

Responsibilities

Reporting to the Supervisor, Sign Shop, Facility Construction Support Division, the selected candidate will be responsible for a variety of clerical duties including, but not limited to:  performing timekeeping for unionized staff; monitoring the Absence Control Program; coordinating the Sick Incentive and Perfect Attendance Programs; generating overtime and comp time reports via PeopleSoft, SAP bill payment and process the receiving and close-out of Sign Service Requests.

Desired

Ideal candidates will present the following profile:

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Port Authority administrative and timekeeping policies and procedures.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of SAP.
  • Demonstrated ability to utilize and prioritize work assignments, work independently with minimal supervision, and handle various tasks simultaneously in a timely and competent manner.
  • Ability to interpret contract/memorandum of agreement language;
  • Excellent computer skills with demonstrated proficiency using Excel to prepare spreadsheets;
  • Excellent organizational and communication skills;
  • Ability to meet deadlines, prioritize work and handle various assignments simultaneously with minimal supervision.
  • Demonstrated ability to work under pressure while meeting tight deadlines.
  • Demonstrated interpersonal skills including demonstrated experience interacting effectively with all levels of internal staff.
  • Proficiency using MS Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Experience with O/M/P timekeeping.
  • Receiving and close out of Sign Service Requests.
