The Program Manager, reporting to the Corporate Information Security Officer (CISO), provides support to the CISO with several critical security programs. The Program Manager is directly responsible for managing the day-to-day tasks required with the preparation of SAFETY Act (Support Anti-Terrorism by Fostering Effective Technologies Act) applications. The SAFETY Act, which is an Agency priority program, requires an individual to maintain a leadership role with the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and develop and complete numerous first of their kind applications for critical infrastructure within the transportation sector.
The Program Manager shall also assist management with critical Agency initiatives, which include the Agency’s Personnel Assurance (SWAC) Program, reviewing and responding to Freedom of Information (FOI) Requests, updating and maintaining the Unit’s Business Continuity Plan and serving as back-up to the CISO. Finally, the Program Manager will assist with the preparation of the Unit’s annual budget and track the status of Board items and Memorandum of Justifications (MJs).
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
Lead all facets of the SAFETY Act Program for the anti-terrorism measures deployed at our facilities.
Resolve operational and technical issues with the Personnel Assurance Program (SWAC).
Serve as back-up to the CISO.
Review and respond to Freedom of Information (FOI) requests.
Update and maintain the unit’s Business Continuity Plan.
Assist with the preparation of the Unit’s annual budget and track the status of Board items and MJs.
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice, Homeland Security, Technology, Law or related field from an accredited college or university.
Demonstrated experience performing analyses, producing reports, and managing contracts.
