Under the direction of the Tunnels Bridges and Terminals (TB&T) Maintenance Manager, the selected candidate will be responsible for the implementation of the Enterprise Asset Management program for TB&T. This includes transitioning from the agency’s current Maintenance Management Information System (MMIS) to the new replacement system (Maximo) and overseeing maintenance management improvement initiatives for the TB&T Department. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring that all governance policies/documents, as set forth by the Office of Chief Operating Office (OCCO) and TB&T, are adhered to as the department transfers from MMIS to Maximo. Candidate will also work as a liaison between facility staff and corporate staff along with ensuring facility maintenance staff are actively engaged in the process. The scope of work includes working with the agency’s OCCO’s asset management team and Technology Department on setting up TB&T’s new maintenance system; creating new asset hierarchies; reviewing and organizing existing MMIS data for proper upload to Maximo using established asset definitions, classes and hierarchies; and validating information in Maximo to ensure it conforms to the agency’s developed standards. The successful candidate will be required to review data, provide detailed information and feedback on proposals, and assist with implementation of all new systems related to asset management ensuring that all new initiatives are successfully implemented. The candidate will be required to attend meetings with various levels of Port Authority staff and participate in the development of Agency standards for Enterprise Asset Management.
Candidates must present the following qualifications to be considered eligible for this position:
Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Architecture, Engineering, Operations Analysis, or other related fields. In lieu of a degree, candidate shall have 15+ years in relevant experience in the implementation of maintenance management systems and the delivery of corporate Enterprise Asset Management Plans.Demonstrated expertise shall be by means of candidate having certifications showing expertise in IBM Maximo and having successfully managed various Enterprise Asset Management projects.
A minimum of five (5) years of progressively responsible experience in maintenance management, facility operations, systems engineering, or project management.
A valid driver's license and ability to travel independently to the various Port Authority facilities.
Ideal candidates will present the following profile:
Knowledge of maintenance management systems and its use to accomplish Preventative, Corrective, and Emergency work, including scheduling, statusing, and labor management.
Knowledge of asset management issues including, but not limited to, key performance measures for maintenance management, condition based asset management strategies, executive dashboard creation, and asset lifecycle considerations.
Demonstrated leadership skills and experience managing a diverse workforce with varying work backgrounds, expertise and levels.
Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to be persuasive with staff at all levels.
Excellent written and oral communication skills, including the ability to make concise presentations to a variety of audiences.
